General Rules
  1. Pre-fight preparation (gear)
    1. All gear prefixes and rarities are allowed. All Runes, Sigils, Doubloons and Jewels of any rarity are allowed. Usage of +5 Stat Infusions is allowed. Any other Stat Infusion exceeding +5 stat is forbidden

    2. Agony resistance is capped at 207 AR (full +9 Agony Infusions with Fractal God and Agony Impedance 4). This is before taking the Mistlock singularity

    3. For players without Fractal God and Agony Impedance 4, you may use any combination of agony resistance and the Anguished Tear of Alba to reach the 207 AR cap

  2. Consumable usage
    1. Nourishment (Food)
      1. Most "standard" foods may be consumed for an encounter

      2. On Heal food is not allowed

        • Example: Jerk Poultry and Nopal Flatbread Sandwich
      3. Players may freely refresh their food effect (Nourishment) during an encounter

      4. Players may not swap foods during a single boss kill (refreshing is not swapping)

      5. During full fractal runs, players may swap food in line with rules 2.1.1 + 2.1.2

    2. Enhancement (Utility)
      1. Most "standard" utilities may be used

      2. Other Potions are not permitted

      3. On Revive utilities are not permitted

        • Example: Flask of Pumpkin Oil
      4. Any other utilities are permitted to be used for an encounter

      5. Players may freely refresh their utility effect (Enhancement) during an encounter.

      6. Players may not swap utility during a single boss kill (refreshing is not swapping)

      7. During full fractal runs, players may swap utility during the run in line with rules 2.2.1 - 2.2.4

      8. For players below 207 AR, Anguished Tear of Alba is allowed to reach the 207 AR cap

      9. For players without account augmentations, with Fractal Savant or Fractal Prodigy, Strength Boosters are allowed (sorry to all the Fractal Champions)

  3. Bundles / Gizmos
    1. Bundles not included as part of a profession's skills or weapons are not permitted

      • Example: Bottle
    2. Players may not use any cosmetics item, gizmos or any other item before or during an encounter.

      • Example: Combat tonics such as Executioner Axe Toy and Endless Choya Piñata Tonic

      • An exception is made for the White Mantle Portal Device, which is allowed (for more information see CM rules and T4 rules)

  4. Other Interactions
    1. Players may not use or abuse any user interface bug or glitch to perform otherwise impossible actions.
  5. Specialization-specific interactions, skills and other skills
    1. Class or Specialization bugs or glitches which offer an unfair or unnatural advantage over other players are banned.

      • Examples: Soulbeast merge in addition to having an active pet, Chronomancer's Continuum Split duplicating one-time-use skills or effects, Interactions with Mistlock & Signets.
    2. Racial Skills are not permitted, precasted or actively used - Example: Technobabble

    3. Beta Specializations are not permitted

Single Boss Specific Rules
  1. Pre-fight preparation (precasting)
    1. Players may:
      1. Trigger in-combat Sigils on equipment the encounter is done with before the encounter starts

        • Example: Superior Sigil of Doom on Condi Renegade
      2. Use utility skills or weapon skills of another specialization

      3. Use equipment and build templates to swap between specializations while pre-casting skills

      4. Use skills that have prolonged effects

        • Examples: Moa Stance, Meteor Shower
      5. Lay down singular instances of traps, banners, and use any other skill from any specialization in which objects of long duration are created

        • When precasting such objects, a maximum of 1 instance of each object is allowed per player
    2. Players may not:
      1. Precast Sigil effects of a Sigil from equipment that the encounter is not being done with

        • Example: Superior Sigil of Doom then swapping to a different Sigil
      2. Charge stacking Sigils before an encounter starts.

        • Example: Superior Sigil of Bloodlust
      3. Summon allies using runes and consumables they do not intend to keep during the encounter

        • Examples: The Jagged Horror from Superior Rune of the Lich, Ogre Pet Whistle
      4. Trigger the effect of On Revive utilities before an encounter is started

      5. Trigger the effect of On Heal food before an encounter is started

      6. Trigger the effect of On Kill food before an encounter is started

      7. "Infinitely" stack personal or team-wide buffs, effects or skills before an encounter

        • Example: Light on your Feet duration buff stacking
      8. Precast skills by using bugged mechanics or interactions that make the skill or effect last for a longer duration than they should do

        • Example: A Mistlock Singularity bug allowing instacast skills to gain multiple applications from one cast
      9. Use consumables/gizmos to get into combat to precast sigils/traits before the fight starts

  2. Xera Portal Usage
    1. White Mantle Portal Device may be precasted to allow parties to travel from Mistlock to the boss
    2. White Mantle Portal Device entrances may be placed during the boss fight and used in the same encounter
    3. White Mantle Portal Device can not be precasted for use during a pull before getting into combat from triggering the fight or pre placed in an earlier pull.
      1. Example: Placing portals on Skorvald islands, gging, then placing new ones for use in the next pull is not allowed
  3. Encounter Behaviour
    1. General
      1. Skipping fractal boss phases or mechanics using repeatable and reproducible boss behaviour exploits, map breaking exploits, or exploits in code that place one outside the influence of the boss is not permitted
      2. Going out of bounds to attack a boss. Out of bounds is considered to be anywhere not inside the boss arena.
    2. Boss Specific
      1. Siax - Dealing enough damage to skip split phases by reaching 66/33% before the CC bar appears
      2. Ensloyss - Starting the boss and resetting during the capture phase to keep the circles active during the next pull
      3. Skorvald - A bug causing Skorvald to instantly transition from phase 2 to 3 ignoring the second island phase
      4. Dark Ai - Breaking the CC bar at exactly 66% or 33% causing Ai to stay at the side during the subsequent sorrow phase
T4 Specific Rules
  1. Pre-fight preparation (precasting)
    1. Players may:
      1. Adjust food traits, skills and gear to what you need for the first section

      2. Wait for the timer to start while standing still

    2. Players may not:
      1. Precast Sigil effects of a Sigil from equipment before the timer starts

        • Example: Superior Sigil of Doom
      2. Charge stacking Sigils before a fractal starts.

        • Examples: Superior Sigil of Bloodlust
      3. Summon allies using runes and consumables before the timer starts

        • Examples: The Jagged Horror from Superior Rune of the Lich, Ogre Pet Whistle
      4. Trigger the effect of On Kill food before the timer starts

      5. Stack personal or team-wide buffs, effects or skills before the timer starts

        • Example: Light on your Feet duration buff stacking
      6. Precast skills by using bugged mechanics or interactions that make the skill or effect last for a longer duration than they should do

        • Example: A Mistlock bug allowing instacast skills to gain multiple applications from one cast
      7. Use Consumables/Gizmos to get into combat to precast Sigils/Traits before the timer starts

  2. Xera Portal Usage
    1. White Mantle Portal Device may be used during T4 runs
    2. When entering a fractal a portal entrance may not be casted before the timer starts

  3. Out of bounds, Skips and Jumping puzzles
    1. Progress-blocking bosses/mechanics must be completed.

    2. Passing through or getting inside map geometry is out of bounds

    3. Blink skips through platforms, floors or walls are allowed, providing you end up in an area reachable through normal gameplay.

      • Example: Molten Boss skip to the Elite Flame Shaman
    4. The area beyond a closed door is out of bounds until it is opened.

      • Example: Thaumanova Reactor rooms

      • Once a door has been opened it can be skipped over/blinked past if it is closed again (e.g. Underground Facility cage entrance).

    5. If a door is initially open and closes after passing a trigger, you may pass the door by blinking over the trigger. Events which open the door must not be skipped.

    6. "Pixel jumping", which is jumping off something which should not be jumpable (like a vertical wall), is banned.

    7. Areas which require movement other than normal/dodge jumping to get to are allowed to be used. Scenarios, where a series of precise normal jumps "jumping puzzles" are done, are also allowed

      • Examples: Urban Battleground "jumping puzzle", Uncategorized end boss skip after Old Tom.
