Our members are frequent and audited fractal runners. Many of us are running fractals for years now and expect fast, high quality runs. To ensure new members can fulfill these requirements a trial has to be passed in which we not only monitor your gameplay but also your attitude and personality.
As a prerequesite we expect applicants to have carefully read not only their respective build pages but also the guides and studied the provided material in depth. It is more important to present yourself as a player who is willing to improve than to be the perfect player already. We highly advise joining a static team and try out more advanced strategies before applying to collect experience already. To find a static you can use the#looking-for-static channel on our public discord server.
To maintain our standards you are required to go through a four-week trial phase. It consists of three weeks preparation for you and then one week of Evaluation runs. There is currently only one option for new trials to choose from for their preparation:
If you have a static that is playing with one of the META comps you can choose this option. Regardless of what class you apply as you are expected to be able to play the power (MAMA/Siax/Skorvald/Artsariiv) and condi (Ensolyss/Ai) variants.
In this case most of your trial period will consist of you sending us logs and POVs with us returning detailed feedback.
You can also request to run specific bosses with our Trial Runners. (for specialized strategies like 4-way Skorvald or Double/Triple Midburn Artsariiv)
This should make it easier for you to help your own static try out these strategies.
In combination this should prepare you for the evaluation run(s) at the end of your trial phase.
During your trial period, you are not allowed to represent dT! You are expected to not be toxic towards any players in any game mode. Reports of toxicity lead to immediate termination of your trial.
If you are already highly experienced with advanced strategies and we can very clearly see this from the logs you provide us with, the learning phase can be skipped. Whether we allow this is at our own discretion on a case-by-case basis. Put a note on your application if you want this to be considered.
At the end of your trial period our Trial Runners will take you on 1-2 evaluation runs to gauge your performance. These will be full runs through all three CM Fractals with a low number of ggs. If you apply what you learned on the way, this should not pose a big problem for you.
Here are some rough guidelines of what we look for in our evaluation. They reflect what is taught in our class-specific CM guides for organized runs.
Damage appropriate for your role
CC according to your role
Adaptability to our strategies (you will know them ahead of time of course)
For examples of the following strategies you can check our videos page. Do note that Ensolyss and Ai are condi bosses. Please note, that even if you are able to execute more advanced strategies with your static (such as 4way Skorvald) you are still required to execute the strategies listed below.
MAMA: CC and Damage on point
Siax: Fast split phases, good damage spread
Ensolyss: During split phase position yourself for alacrity (if applicable) and cap ASAP.
Skorvald: We only require you to participate in a chain portal Skorvald.
Artsariiv: We expect you to participate in a Double Midburn here (P1 and P2 end before the boss reaches the corner).
Arkk: You should be able to push your orb fast while doing the other mechanics at the same time(green circle, bomb). This includes communicating necessary swaps of the orb sides if a player is unable to get to their side on time because of these other mechanics.
Ai: CC on point, no getting hit by avoidable damage
Applying without a slot being available results in being put into a queue and invited to our internal Discord until a trial slot frees up. You are encouraged to improve yourself as you will have access to most of the channels on Discord. Feel free to ask questions from dT members or find people to play with there.
After carefully reading through all the information we encourage you to apply.
